Northern Virginia business leader Bobbie Kilberg endorsed Kirk Cox for Governor Wednesday. Kilberg served as a senior advisor to Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, and has been a fixture in Northern Virginia for years. She is a leading advocate on technology and business issues. Kilberg served as a member of the Northern Virginia Regional Council of GO Virginia, and she also served on Governor Bob McDonnell’s transition team.
“It’s truly an honor to have the endorsement of Bobbie Kilberg, a trailblazer for women and Virginians throughout the course of her career,” said Kirk Cox. “Bobbie understands politics, public policy, and relationships on a deeper level than most and has always fought for the Commonwealth’s best interests. This includes building sustainable businesses, investing in technological innovations, and making sure our students receive a quality education. With Bobbie’s help, we will continue to bring our party together as we prepare to fight back, lead forward, and unify Virginia in 2021.”
“I’ve worked with Kirk for years on issues important to Northern Virginia, to technology, and to the business community,” said Kilberg. “He has the experience, knowledge, and ability to lead that we need in our next Governor. He is a unifying, problem solver – both principled and pragmatic in his approach. I am proud to endorse his campaign.”
Bobbie Kilberg joins a list led by Governor George Allen and former First Lady Susan Allen of over 150 conservative elected and grassroots leaders who have endorsed Kirk, including Congressman Tom Davis and State Senator Jeannemarie Davis, State Senator Bill Carrico, Congressman Randy Forbes and Shirley Forbes, six former Virginia Beach GOP chairmen, and others.
