Once again, Governor Northam’s administration has botched leading Virginia through this pandemic.
Earlier this month, Virginia received 285,725 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, shipping them to hospitals and local health departments over the past two weeks. But less than a quarter of those vaccines — 54,295 — have actually been administered as of Wednesday, according to data from the state Department of Health.
But [Dr. Costi Sifri, a professor of medicine and director of hospital epidemiology and infection prevention and control for UVA Health] said the slow rollout has been a “significant challenge, and quite a significant frustration” to many providers in the roughly two and a half weeks since Virginia received its first shipment of vaccines.
“Northam’s Administration continues to fumble the bag when it comes to this pandemic and Virginians are suffering because of it. While we can count on the Governor trying to pass the buck onto the federal government, he’s the only one to blame for his abysmal leadership.” – Kirk Cox for Governor Press Secretary Kristen Bennett
His Administration failed to be transparent with nursing home data.
Northam completely mishandled school reopening, failing to provide support to schools in the summer so they could reopen safely.
There is a five month wait at DMV because of COVID closings.
Virginia is dead last in the nation when it comes to processing unemployment claims.
