‘Democrats have thrown a ton of mud at me over the years, but I’m still standing. And together, we’ll bring Virginia home’

RICHMOND, VA. — Former Virginia House of Delegates Speaker, retired teacher, and candidate for Governor Kirk Cox released a new video today highlighting his proven record of standing up for conservative values and going up against Terry McAuliffe and Virginia Democrats.

“One party Democratic control has torn down so much of what we’ve built in Virginia. It’s time for Republicans to get back in the game,” Kirk says in the video. “There’s a reason George Allen, Bob McDonnell, Morgan Griffith and five hundred local leaders have endorsed our campaign: proven leadership. You know, Democrats have thrown a ton of mud at me over the years—that’s just what they do. But I’m still standing. And together, we’ll bring Virginia home.”

RALPH NORTHAM: I have one question for you: Do you all like the color blue? I said, do you like the color blue?

Cause I’m here to officially declare today that Virginia is officially blue! Congratulations!

KIRK COX: We all see what’s happening: Conservative voices sidelined while Democrats go unchecked. Their policies get more extreme. Their actions just become more reckless.

One party Democratic control has torn down so much of what we’ve built in Virginia.

Common sense just cast aside in favor of party politics and divisive ideology.

And who pays the price? We do.

Higher taxes, closed schools, and neighborhoods threatened because cops are now the bad guys.

As Governor, I’ll put a stop to this nonsense.

When we would rather cancel each other than have a conversation, something is wrong. When we’re demonized instead of allowing our differences, our politics are broken.

And I’m not just going to sit back.

I won’t be bullied out of my beliefs being pro-life and standing up for the second amendment. I won’t apologize for fighting for what I believe in.

I’ve stood up to Northam and McAuliffe, and I’ll stand up for our convictions—not kneel to the mob.

It’s time for Republicans to get back in the game. It’s time for us to define what we believe in as conservatives.

There’s a reason George Allen, Bob McDonnell, Morgan Griffith and five hundred local leaders have endorsed our campaign: proven leadership.

You know, Democrats have thrown a ton of mud at me over the years—that’s just what they do. But I’m still standing.

And together, we’ll bring Virginia home.
