Tri-Cities Area Leaders Endorse Kirk Cox for Governor

Community leaders across the Tri-Cities endorsed Kirk Cox for Governor on Friday, further unifying our party’s conservative elected and grassroots Virginians supporting the former House of Delegates Speaker and retired teacher.

“I am truly blessed to have the support of leaders within my community and the surrounding Tri-Cities,” said Cox. “With these community leaders on our side, we will continue to build a team of grassroots leaders across the Commonwealth who are dedicated to our cause of unifying our party, fighting back against one party Democratic control, and leading forward to a day where Virginians can do more than just pay the bills.”

“Kirk Cox is a proven conservative leader with the character and integrity to be trusted as our next Governor,” said AJ Eavey III, Hopewell Republican Chairman. “He is a deeply principled individual who does more than just talk—he actually wins and turns ideas into action. I’m proud to support him as he works to unify our party and lead us forward to victory in November.”

“I’ve known Kirk Cox for over 30 years,” said Barbara Tabb, former Colonial Heights Republican Chairman, former 3rd District Republican Chairman, former State Central Committee Representative, Prince George Republican Treasurer. “There is no one who works harder and has a stronger track record of winning tough elections and producing real results for our conservative principles. He is the leader we need as our nominee and our next Governor.”

“Kirk Cox can effectively communicate our message and our values to all Virginians,” said Michael Maszaros, Petersburg Republican Chairman. “He’s an inclusive leader who can unite Republicans around the values we share and turn those principles into concrete solutions to the issues we face in our daily lives.”

“I strongly support Kirk Cox for Governor because he has proven that he knows how to win tough elections and achieve real results for the principles we share,” said Betty Conn, Dinwiddie Republican Chairman. “He cares about our entire Commonwealth and will tirelessly carry our conservative message to every corner of Virginia.”

“For so many of us in Colonial Heights, Kirk and Julie are normal people that we see at church, the grocery store, and community events,” said Colonial Heights Mayor Greg Kochuba. “Kirk hasn’t forgotten his roots, and I know he’ll make us all proud as Governor. He has the convictions and servant’s heart needed to serve our Commonwealth. I wholeheartedly endorse Kirk to be our next Governor.”

“I am pleased to support Kirk Cox’s campaign for Governor of Virginia,” said Krishan Agrawal, Colonial Heights School Board member. “Serving on the school board, I have seen Kirk’s passion for education firsthand. His record is clear: working to reform SOL tests, raise teacher pay, and ensuring our children receive a world-class education. I know we can count on him to continue fighting for our schools.”

Earlier this year, the campaign announced endorsements from former Governor and U.S. Senator George F. Allen, First Lady Susan Allen, Northern Virginia business leader Bobbie Kilberg, former Governor Bob McDonnell, and more than 50 current and former members of the General Assembly.
