RICHMOND, VA. — The York County Board of Supervisors unanimously announced their endorsement of Kirk Cox for Governor today.

“Kirk has proven he can win in the bluest Republican districts,” said Chairman Chad Green. “Republicans need a candidate who is willing to go into those districts and put in the work. Kirk is that candidate.”

“Kirk Cox’s exceptional leadership, experience in government and the classroom, compassion for all, and vision for the Commonwealth’s future is what we need in our Governor. His 30 years in public schools teaching government to future generations and service in the Virginia Assembly where he served as Speaker of the House, makes him uniquely qualified to be our next Governor. He understands the everyday concerns of Virginians and is a proven consensus builder in government to get things done,” said Thomas G. Shepperd, Jr. Board of Supervisors member.

“Kirk is always doing his best by Virginians who are in need and as governor, I know he will make sure the Hampton Roads area is given the attention it deserves,” said Board of Supervisors member Walter Zaremba.

“Kirk has a strong focus on values and issues important to all Virginians,” said Board of Supervisors Member Steve Roane, Jr. “From protecting our unborn children, to defending our second amendment rights, to helping create critical jobs, I believe Kirk will provide the leadership Virginia needs as our governor.”

“Kirt is the only candidate with the legislative experience and proven record in the arena of getting the job done,” said Sheila Noll, longtime member Board of Supervisors.  “It is an honor to have a candidate who understands what real leadership is.  Kirt Cox believes with me that all issues are women’s issues and we can count on him to make sure that more women will have a seat at the table when he becomes Governor.”

“It’s an honor to have the York County Board of Supervisors on our team,” said Kirk. “I will work hard to make sure that the needs of the Hampton Roads community are met. Our party is ready to unite behind a leader who will put an end to the Democrats’ abuse of power.”

They join a growing list of over 500 conservative elected and grassroots leaders, including Governor George Allen and former First Lady Susan Allen, Governor Bob McDonnell, Congressman Morgan Griffith, Congressman Tom Davis and State Senator Jeannemarie Davis, State Senator Bill Carrico, Congressman Randy Forbes and Shirley Forbes, and Bobbie Kilberg, all of whom know that Kirk is the best candidate to lead us to victory and serve as the 74th Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
